Oyster Cards: For your time in London it may be worth buying an Oyster card and loading it with
some money. You can buy an Oyster card at most tube or train stations. This can be returned at
any tube station before you leave and the deposit plus any balance remaining on the card will
be refunded to you. Remember to "tap in" (at the start of your journey) and to "tap out" (at the
end of your journey) at the Oyster card readers, otherwise you will be charged extra.
Taxi Services: Currently there is a taxi service operating from the major London airports

Amana Trust Shuttles: For certain events, Amana Trust is able to provide a free shuttle service from
Newbury Park Underground Station and/or Romford Train Station to Bower House. However, please do not assume this is the case.
In all other cases, it is usually easier to follow the directions to Romford Train Station and then catch a bus to Bower House.
From London City Airport (LCY)
- Exit baggage claim.
- Follow directions to the Train / Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station.
- Enter the station
- If you have an Oyster card, then "tap in". Otherwise, purchase a single ticket to Newbury Park or Romford.
- Take the DLR towards Stratford International DLR Station
- Journey time is approximately 14 minutes
- Get off the DLR at Stratford
- From Stratford Station there are two options:
- Either take the train to Romford:
- Check the displays for the National Express East Anglia train to Romford (towards Shenfield). Usually it leaves from Platform 8.
- Journey time is approximately 20 minutes.
- If you have an Oyster card, "tap out" at the barriers, otherwise insert your train ticket into the barrier and it will let you through.
- If an Amana Trust shuttle is available, exit the station and look for an Amana Trust representative. Otherwise, follow these directions to take the bus to Bower House.
- Or, take the tube to Newbury Park:
- Follow the signs for the Central Line (eastbound) platform.
- Check on the display to make sure the tube (train) goes to "Woodford via Hainault" or "Hainault via Newbury Park", as some do not.
- Journey time is approximately 15 minutes.
- If you have an Oyster card, "tap out" at the barriers, otherwise insert your train ticket into the barrier and it will let you through.
- If an Amana Trust shuttle is available, cross to the middle "island" to wait for it. Otherwise, follow these directions to go to Romford and take the bus to Bower House.

From Gatwick Airport (LGW)
- After exiting baggage claim, follow the signs to Trains
- Enter the station
- Purchase a single ticket to London Bridge for £7.90 (First Capital Connect).
- Journey time is approximately 30 minutes
- Get off at London Bridge
- Follow directions to London Bridge Underground:
- If you have an Oyster card, then "tap in" at the barriers. Otherwise, purchase a single ticket to either Newbury Park or Romford.
- Travelling with Oyster card to Newbury Park (Zone 4) costs £3.40 peak (06:30-09:30 and 16:00-19:00 Monday-Friday) or £2.50 off-peak (all other times).
- Paying for a single ticket to Newbury Park costs £5.
- Travelling to Romford may be more expensive as it is in Zone 6.
- Follow the signs for the Jubilee Line (eastbound) platform
- Take the Jubilee line towards Stratford Underground Station
- Journey time is approximately 20 minutes
- Get off the train at Stratford

- Either take the train to Romford:

- Take the District Line towards Barking Underground Station.
- Journey time is approximately 40 minutes.
- Get off the train at Mile End
- Directly cross the platform.

- Journey time to Stratford is approximately 3 minutes
- The next station is Stratford. From Stratford Station there are two options:

- Stay on the tube until you reach Newbury Park

- If an Amana Trust shuttle is available, cross to the middle "island" to wait for it. Otherwise, follow these directions to go to Romford and take the bus to Bower House.
- There are other routes you can take, but the one described above involves only directly crossing the platforms at Hammersmith and Mile End (and Stratford), so that you do not need to go up and down stairs. There are stairs at Newbury Park, but ramps available at Romford.

From Luton Airport (LTN)
- After exiting baggage claim, follow the signs to Coaches.
- Catch the Easybus/GreenLine Coach to Marble Arch (travelling towards London Victoria):
- Pre-book a coach ticket on www.easybus.co.uk/london-luton.
- Easybus tickets can be as little as £2, but may go up to £10 or more.
- You can also catch any available bus on the day and pay the driver for your ticket, but it may be more expensive.
- Journey time is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
- Get off at Marble Arch.
- Follow directions to Marble Arch Underground.

From Stansted Airport (STN)
- Exit baggage claim.
- Go down to the ground floor.
- Follow signs or ask for the National Express Coaches (outside and usually to the right).
- Catch the A9 National Express Coach to Stratford (travelling towards Liverpool Street):
- Use nationalexpress.com to check the timetable and book tickets before you travel.
- You can also catch any available bus on the day and pay the driver for your ticket.
- Journey time is 45 minutes, and coaches depart every half hour during the day.
