at Bower House and Woodland Camp, Essex
Amana Trust would like to invite you to join us for a weekend retreat to enjoy the Word of God and fellowship with other seekers of the Lord from your area. We will be hosting a series of eight weekend retreats at Bower House and Woodland Camp in Essex.
The weekend’s activities will begin at Bower House with a hot breakfast at 9am on Saturday. We will continue with a session in the ministry on God’s eternal purpose, a break for lunch and fellowship, a second session in the afternoon, and a barbecue at Woodland Camp in the evening. Much of the time throughout the day will be for fellowship with other believers. In the evening we will also have both a meeting for those of university age (over 18 years of age) at Woodland Camp, as well as another session in the ministry for all others back at Bower House.
On the Lord’s Day morning there will be special fellowship at 7am concerning the importance of a time with the Lord every morning. Breakfast will follow, with the Lord’s Day morning meeting beginning at 10am. We will conclude the meetings at 1pm with a pack lunch.
We welcome all who are 18 years or older to register. Registration is required in advance in order to ensure adequate accommodation for everyone. Once our capacity for a particular weekend is reached, registration for that weekend will need to close. Therefore, please register at least two weeks in advance for planning purposes.
Online registration is now available. You may also register by phoning us during business hours on 01708 380 301 or 0800 093 9779.
There is no charge for these weekends, but donations may be given to Amana Trust if you wish. We regret that we are unable to receive children under 18 years old for these retreats.
The retreats will begin 11-12 April 2015 and finish 30-31 May 2015. Each weekend will be reserved for certain geographical areas in which each of us lives further clarified by the chart below. We hope that you would be able to attend both suggested weekends for your region.
|Suggested Weekends for Regional Areas|
|Region||1st Weekend||2nd Weekend|
||11-12 April||9-10 May|
||18-19 April||16-17 May|
||25-26 April||23-24 May|
||2-3 May||30-31 May|
Accommodation will be provided for Saturday nights and, if needed, on Friday nights. This accommodation is dormitory style with shared rooms and shared bathrooms. We will do our best to accommodate couples together. However, depending on availability you may be placed in separate male and female accommodation. If you would like to ensure that you stay together, you are welcome to book your own accommodation in nearby hotels (click here for nearby affordable hotels).
We ask that all those who are registered arrive at Bower House no later than 9am on Saturday morning. We will provide transport between 8am and 8.30am from Newbury Park Underground Station (Central Line), as well as from the corner of Chase Cross and Havering Road. Return transport will be provided at 6.30pm Saturday evening for those who cannot stay overnight, and at 2pm on Sunday for those who are able to stay. We hope that as many as possible would stay overnight.
Please bring this invitation to the Lord. We hope that these times will be a great encouragement to us all and provide a way for those of us who enjoy this ministry to be brought into more fellowship and enjoyment of the Word together and to meet others from our area. If you have any questions, please contact us through email@example.com.
